TEKTONIC Brings National High School All-Star Combine to Houston Area
Junior-level High School Students Gear-Up to Showcase Talent

The Woodlands, Texas—February 5, 2008TEKTONIC Athletic Development and Rehabilitation announced that they will host the National High School All-Star Combine at their new comprehensive sports facility, located within the Legends Sports Complex in north Houston.

High school football players at the junior level are signing up at $35.00 a person to ensure that their name is among the list of the 125 players that will be seen on Saturday, March 8, from 8a.m.-noon.

NHSASC offers non-biased reliable information for evaluating and recruiting college-bound student athletes. The combine results allow college recruiters to be more efficient in finding student athletes that fit their programs needs. In addition, the NHSASC provides a very important step for the student athlete by exposing their results to every college in the U.S., thereby enabling college recruiters to review more student athletes than ever before.

“We are pleased to team with NHSASC and the Legends Sports Complex to bring this unique and exciting opportunity to local high school football players. This is a great chance for Houston area talent to be seen, and we’re happy we could help make it possible,” said Steve Wetzel, director of athletic development for TEKTONIC, and former strength and conditioning coach to the Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings.

The high school combine assists athletes with improving college recruitment opportunities. The comprehensive program consists of eight separate stations by which the athlete’s abilities are determined: height and weight, broad jump, 40-yard sprint, Kaplan testing, vertical jump, short shuttle, bench press and an educational seminar.

Don Zoloty of the NHSASC is enthusiastic about seeing Houston area football players making strides through the high school combine program. “This program is designed to help get the right information, in terms of every participating athlete’s ability, to the right people,” said Don Zoloty, NHSASC coordinator. “Essentially, we strive to bridge the distance between the high school football players and colleges and universities.”
