What is performance physical therapy?
Performance physical therapy consists of assessing and identifying movement patterns and subsequently, correcting those sports-related inadequacies to optimize an athlete’s performance. Physical therapists are movement specialists whose education and training enables them to analyze and optimize an athlete’s functional movements. Athletes will complete a biomechanical analysis so that performance training can produce fluidity in running, jumping, throwing and hitting abilities.
